About the
site
We
have been Caravan Club members and keen caravanners
for over 20 years so we hope that we have created a CL that you will enjoy.
The
site covers approximately ½ acre of grassed land with a native hedge, trees and
shrubs to the north and shrubs along the fenced boundary. We have planted shrubs and fruit trees
between the pitches which when mature will give extra screening.
We
are open from 1st March to 31st October and welcome
children and pets by arrangement.
There
are 6 electric hook-ups around the site and water, chemical disposal point and
refuse bins are located together opposite the pitches.
We
have a variety of birds that visit the garden and there are feeders in the
trees. The Green Woodpecker is a regular
visitor. Owls and bats are often in the
area especially at dusk.
We
are situated between the villages of Leverington and Gorefield
and in either directions there are pubs serving
food. The local shop is in the village
which is roughly 1 mile in distance.
The
site is an excellent base for exploring the Historic town of Wisbech with its
splendid Georgian architecture on the North Brink where you will find Peckover House, a National Trust Property. Also, Elgoods
Brewery and Gardens are further along the Brink where tours are available and a
taste of the local brew is a must.
In
July, Wisbech holds its annual Rose Fair which takes place over 4 days and
culminates with a parade of floats with local schools and groups participating.
There
is a limited bus service into Wisbech which can be picked up from the end of
the lane just a few minutes walk from the site.
